In assembly today we were visited by Linda and Alex from the Royal National Lifeguard Institution. They spoke to us about the work of the lifeboats in Southend and told us how we can be safe when we are near the sea. Linda and Alex showed us videos of lifeboat rescues, including a video of a rescued dog. We saw some of the equipment that is used and Mrs Graham and Mr Swanwick even had a race to see who could get dressed in all of the clothing the quickest!
