Parish Cup Football Fixture

The school football season is now up and running! Our Year 5/6 boys' team competed in the first round of the Parish Cup against Fairways on Monday. Leading 1-0 at half time thanks to a wonder goal from George, it looked set to be a victorious start to the Parish Cup. Fairways then took control in the second half with three quickfire goals. Jacob pulled one back from a well worked freekick in the final moments but it was defeat in the Parish Cup for West Leigh. Despite the defeat, the team performed brilliantly in their first game together and showed plenty of promise for the year ahead!
