Girls Essex Cup

Nine goals, great teamwork and a place in the next round, what a start to the Essex Cup!

The girls' football team made a fantastic start to their Essex Cup campaign with a brilliant 9-0 win over Oakfield Primary.

Oakfield worked hard in defence and their goalkeeper made some excellent saves, but West Leigh's passing, movement and finishing were too strong. The team created chances time and again, using great attacking play to find space and score some excellent goals.

A brilliant all-round team performance and a well-deserved win sees the girls through to the next round. Well done, girls!
