Year 5/6 Girls' Football
Congratulations to the West Leigh Year 5/6 girls’ football team who competed in the Southend competition on Friday. They fought brilliantly in their twelve matches, only losing two of them and conceding just two goals across the whole day! Their determination, resilience and support for each other was a joy to watch. The team finished in 4th place and are already determined to go one step further next year. We think you should be incredibly proud, girls!

Year 5 Pupils Raise Money for Charity
A group of thoughtful Year 5 pupils recently organised their own charity sale in support of One Love - a charity helping members of the homeless community. They set up their stall after school on Thursday and were thrilled by the enthusiastic response. By the end of the day, they had raised an impressive £64 for the charity. A huge well

Harvest Collection
This morning, the school was filled with the spirit of giving as children arrived carrying bags brimming with tinned and packet foods for our harvest collection for Southend Food bank. From soups and cereals to pasta and pulses, the generosity on display was truly overwhelming. We were absolutely blown away by the kindness and thoughtfulness shown by our families. Your donations will make a real difference to those in need within our local community, and we are incredibly gra

Gosfield Cut Hedge Cross-Country Competition
Well done to our cross-country team who competed at Gosfield School on Wednesday in a cross-country competition. The children have trained over the last few weeks and competed magnificently in their races. It was a rugged and undulating course with plenty of natural obstacles to contend with! For many, it was their first time competing in a cross-count
