Cross Country

Congratulations to the West Leigh cross-country squad who competed in the Southend competition last week! The children have trained in school sessions but have also sacrificed their own time to achieve the best possible outcome. We were so impressed by the children’s determination in the races. It was clear just how much effort they had put in to the races by the looks of their faces at the finishing line!

The results of each team's position are below. The teams in the top two positions have qualified for the Essex finals, which take place in March. West Leigh Junior School have finished in… 1st place! This is the fourth consecutive year of winning the Southend cross-country competition! Well done runners!
