Basketball Competition

On Wednesday 2nd November, eleven Year 6 children attended a basketball competition held at Eastwood Academy. They played two games in their group - the first against Richmond School (who were last year's winners). The boys played in the first half and the girls in the second. After a tense game, the scores were combined, resulting in a 12-8 win. Their second game against Heycroft School was again a very close affair, with some excellent attacking and defensive skills on show. Unfortunately, the children lost 6-8 but should all be very proud of their performances. They thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of playing basketball on a huge indoor court with an electric scoreboard! Well done to all those involved.
