Yr5/6 Boys football V Earls Hal


On Thursday 8th March, Mr Nash and Miss Fletcher travelled to Earls Hall Primary School with the boys’ football team to play their penultimate league game of the season. The boys had to work hard to push forward and find space. Both teams had a number of very close shots at goal. In the first half West Leigh managed to find a gap to put the ball in the back of the net. With the half time whistle blown the score was, West Leigh 1-0 Earls Hall. In the second half both teams put in a fantastic performance, with some great tackles and defensive play. Yet again both sides had some close shots with the keepers making some great saves. West Leigh managed to find some space to play the ball forward then cross into the box and slip the ball past the keeper to bring the score to, West Leigh 2-0 Earls Hall. With the last few minutes to be played the boys managed to keep a strong defense helping to clear the ball away from goal. With the final whistle blown, the game finished West Leigh 2-0 Earls Hall. The boys put in an incredible performance with both teams evenly matched, which made for a great football match, with both side showing superb respect and sportsmanship throughout the game.
