West Leigh girls' football team play Chalkwell Park
On Monday 3rd February, the girls’ football team travelled to Chalkwell Park to play in their first league game of the season. In the first half, Chalkwell managed to score two early goals, the team remained positive and focused finding a couple of opportunities but were unable to get past the keeper, with the first half ending, West Leigh 0-2 Chalkwell. In the second half, the team continued to show strong defending and goal keeping skills, preventing a number of chances from Chalkwell, as well as finding some space to move up the pitch, but once again were unable to get past the defenders and keeper. With the final whistle blown, the match ended, West Leigh 0-2 Chalkwell. The girls put in a fantastic effort, working tirelessly throughout and demonstrated great determination and sportsmanship.
