Leigh Music Festival

On Friday, young musicians from Years 4, 5 and 6 represented West Leigh in the Instrumental Classes of the Leigh Music Festival. All the children played very well and received positive comments from the adjudicator. Congratulations to everyone who performed with a special mention for: Georgia Baker and Kathryn Hall who won their duet class; Alex Blackstone-Cobbe, Freddie Dawson and Sebastian Rapley Mende who won the Chamber Class and the Year 5 and 6 Recorder Group who narrowly beat our Year 4 Recorder Group in the Ensemble Class. Thank you to all the parents for their support on the day and for encouraging them to practise. Our specialist recorder tutor, Mrs Gentleman, and I were very pleased with everyone’s performances.
