Girls football vs. Chalkwell Hall


On Thursday 29th March, Mr Nash and Mrs Mitchinson travelled to Chalkwell Park with the girls’ football team to play their last league game of the season. With the rain starting to fall, the girls got off to a good start by maintaining possession of the ball and moving up the pitch, they managed to score two goals in the first half. Chalkwell managed to get the counter attack and get a shot at goal, with it bouncing of the post onto the crossbar and just over the line, with the first half finished the score was West Leigh 2-1 Chalkwell. In the second half the girls continued push and find space with some brilliant passes and runs to get the ball forward. The girls managed to get another goal bring the score to 3-1, Chalkwell put our defense to the test, with the girls showing their strength and clearing the ball. The final whistle was blown and the game finished, West Leigh 3-1 Chalkwell. The girls put in a brilliant performance throughout each of their league matches, managing to win all 3 to finish top of the table. They have demonstrated great sportsmanship and respect throughout each game and can be proud of their performance.
