Girls' Football vs. Hamstel Junior School

On Friday 12th January, Mr Nash and Miss Fletcher travelled to Hamstel Junior School with the girls’ football team to play their first league game of the season and a friendly.

In the league game the girls pushed forward with a number of shots going wide and some great saves from the goalkeeper with the first half ending 0-0. In the second half the girls continued to apply pressure and push forward this time managing to score. With the final whistle blown the game finished West Leigh 1-0 Hamstel.

In the friendly, the girls played great football, applying pressure and working well as a team, with this being the first competitive game for a number of the girls. In the first half the girls went 1-0 down. The girls remained positive and continued to apply pressure throughout the game, with the final whistle blown the game finished West Leigh 0-2 Hamstel.
