On Monday, Children from each class worked together to explore themes around friendship and bullying to produce a school anthem about bullying called 'Bully Free'. The children worked in groups to write the lyrics, melody and a rap. The workshop was delivered by Nathan Timothy from 'Bullybeats' in association with Southend Borough Council's 'Equality and Diversity Champions' programme. The children enjoyed themselves and learned a lot about the technical side of music production. Their lyrics really demonstrate their views about bullying and its effects. We will now be sharing this song with the whole school and exploring its themes during anti bullying week.
