Voice in a Million

Last night West Leigh Junior School made their debut appearance at the SSE Wembley Arena. As part of the ‘Voice in a Million’ choir, children from Years 5 & 6 joined with schools from across the country to perform a selection of contemporary songs in this famous music venue. Numbers included ‘Hold my hand’, ‘Someone like you’, ‘I bet my life’ and ‘Heroes’. They also sang a special song called ‘Children United which included the Destiny Africa Children’s Choir who had flown in from Uganda to take part. The programme featured guest performers including Bars & Melody, Callum Scott (‘Britain’s Got Talent’) and Lily Moram (CBBC’s ‘Got what it takes’) Singing as part of a 6000-strong choir was a unique experience and the children had a very exciting day. Thank you to Mr Loveridge, Mr Dunn, Miss Rodger and Mr Miell for accompanying the children. “Wow! What a fantastic experience for the children of West Leigh at the VIAM concert. Congratulations at such excellent organisation and well behaved children.” (Parent of Year 5 child)
