Today ten year 6 boys played in the Essex county finals u11 open dynamos competition at Billericay cricket club.

On a scorching hot day they managed to play some amazing cricket.

Winning our first game against St Nicholas school from Harlow 119-74. Our next opponents from Walthamstow were Greenleaf primary which we won 87-57. Our final game in the group was against James Oglethorpe school, Upminster which unfortunately we lost 73-105.

Re grouped after lunch and played a very close game against St Thomas More Primary from Basildon winning by 3 runs 82-85.

Through to the final of division 1, it had now reached 33 degrees!  With some excellent batting and bowling on display we were beaten in the final by St Aubyns from Woodford.

The boys should be extremely proud of themselves today, they showed resilience, team spirit and determination in very difficult conditions and came 6th across Essex.

Well done boys!
