Year 4 Cricket and Rounders Competitions

West Leigh participated in the Year 4 Southend rounders and cricket competitions for the first time this week! Our teams have been busy training in our after-school club and in their PE lessons for these competitions. It has been so impressive to see how quickly the children have grasped the rules and tactics in order to be successful. The rounders team finished in 3rd place on Wednesday after competing against Chalkwell, Greenways and Thorpe Hall. The cricket team finished in 4th place after unbelievably close matches against OLOL, Greenways and Thorpe Hall. Well done to all of the children - you represented the school excellently!
