Netball Finals

During the afternoon of Monday 20th March, 8 girls represented West Leigh at the Southend Netball Finals at Alleyn Court.

Our first game against Bournes Green was incredibly close with a 4 - 4 draw. We went on to play St Michaels, ending the game 0 - 0 before losing to Greenways 4 - 1 and finally losing 2-1 against Fairways which left us fourth in our group. Unfortunately, this meant that we didn't make it through to the finals.

The girls should be very proud of themselves; the standard of netball was extremely high. The overall winners were Alleyn Court with Leigh North Street being runners up.

After school, 11 members of the B team played in a netball festival. Unfortunately, we lost to Greenways 4-2, Alleyn Court 2-1 and St Michaels 2-1. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience (and wearing the dresses!). Well done to all those involved.
