Aquathlon

Exceptional levels of swimming and running talent were on show on Wednesday as 12 children from Year 5 and 6 represented West Leigh in the Southend aquathlon competition. The event consisted of a timed 100m swim followed by a 1km run. It was wonderful for the children to showcase their talent following hard work and practice in swimming lessons. Both the boys' team and girls' team won their races. With their points combined, West Leigh were announced as the winners of the competition - for a fifth successive year! Congratulations to all of the children who took part and thank you to the parents for their support on the day.
