Basketball
On Wednesday West Leigh took their basketball team to Shoebury Leisure Centre where the children played their first basketball compeition. The team made up of 10 Year 6 children, 3 girls and 7 boys, won 4 games, drew 1 and lost one and only narrowly missed out on a place in the semi0finals to Chalkwell. The children really enjoyed the experience and did very well given that basketball is fairly new to West Leigh.
