KS2 Boys' Cricket Competition

On Wednesday 1st May, 10 year 6 boys entered the KS2 Best of Cricket competition at Garons there were 15 schools in the competition. The first game in our group was against Fairways, with some excellent fielding we won this game by 32 runs. Our second game against Edwards Hall was very tense they had some excellent bowlers and unfortunately we lost by 13 runs. We went through to the quarter finals as best runners up where we played Greenways, again a very close game which we managed to win by 12 runs.

This put us into the semi finals against Chalkwell who have a very good team with both excellent batters and bowlers, unfortunately we lost by 34 runs.

However we were determined to end on a high as we had improved in each game and played Earls Hall in the 3rd/4th play off we managed to win this by 24 runs. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the day and were worthy of their bronze medals. Well done boys!
