Boys' football vs. Heycroft

On Monday 18th March, the boys’ football team travelled to Heycroft Primary School to play their penultimate league match of the season. The boys continued to demonstrate their skill and ability with high pressure and sublime attacking play getting a number of shots at goal from the beginning. Heycroft’s keeper and defenders had to work hard to prevent the ball from hitting the back of the net. The boys eventually managed to find a way around the defenders by crossing the ball into the box and scoring. With this, the team found their rhythm helping them score a number of goals. In the last few minutes of the game, the boys were given a penalty and one of our players step forward to take the penalty only for it to be denied by an unbelievable save from the keeper. The final whistle was blown with the game finishing, West Leigh 12-0 Heycroft.

The boys showed great sportsmanship and behaviour throughout the match and were a credit to the school. With this, the boys should feel confident approaching their last game of the season.
