Christmas Carol Service

December 16, 2015

Last night we had a beautiful send off into the Christmas holidays with our annual Christmas Carol service at St Margaret’s Church. The Girls’ and Boys’ choirs and our recorder groups took the congregation through a collection of wonderfully sung traditional Christmas Carol, the tableau took us through the Christmas story and the choral speakers added to the whole event. This year we brought the service into the 21st century and our readers delivered modern readings, which were hopefully a little easier for the children to relate to and understand. The readings were all spoken beautifully and clearly. As always the church was packed to the rafters with parents, grandparents and siblings, who were enjoying staying up past their bedtime! It really is lovely to see so many familiar faces come along to support the children. If anyone was lacking Christmas spirit we are sure they left the church feeling that little bit more festive while humming all the way home.
