Year 4 Belchamps visit

Year 4 were excited to get to Belchamps from the moment they entered school with their luggage. The children managed to contain their excitement during English and by 11:00 were ready to depart. The coaches took the children on the short journey to the centre. On arrival the children deposited their bags in their accommodation building before having lunch. The large field acted as our playground. When it was time for the children to start the first activity the leaders arrived and took them to their activity location. Over the two days the children completed four activities including fire lighting, shelter building, push ball and pedal Karts. Traversing a high beam, crate stack and cavi

Year 6 visit Old Leigh

Recently, Year 6 visited Old Leigh to learn about the role of the 'Little Ships' during the Second World War. Whilst they were there, they found out about the events that directly affected the fishermen of Leigh and how they were called into action to rescue the soldiers trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk. Whilst in Old Leigh, they also practised their sketching skills and created some wonderful artwork of The Endeavour which have subsequently been used to good effect in their artwork in class.

Team Challenge Morning

The time had finally come for the whole school to come together and generate exciting and creative ideas for our new house teams. Each group worked within their team to come up with as many creative ideas as possible to update the team names and justify their final choice – the groups had some fantastic ideas and we saw posters, videos, Powerpoint Presentations and more! Each group put forward their idea to the senior leadership team, who were overwhelmed with the all of the choices and the thought that had been put into each and every one. A final four were selected to put to a vote – we eagerly await the results!

Year 5 enjoy their trip to Stubbers

A mass of luggage arrived back at school on Wednesday accompanied by very excited children. A short coach ride and we arrived though the gates at Stubbers. After quickly being shown their tents a tasty meal awaited the children. Some time was given to the children to allow them to play on the field. After the sun set we gathered together around the camp fire singing songs and telling stories. Still excited but tired children settled into their tents. The camps rose early on Thursday, some a little earlier than needed! After breakfast the children were greeted by their instructors ready for the first activity. Over the two days the children experienced 7 activities each lasting for ninety m
