WEST LEIGH JUNIOR SCHOOL
CLASS MUSIC
Our Year 3 programme includes work on rhythm and pulse, whole class recorder and learning new songs.
Our singing voices have really improved. We sound very good!

My trickiest thing was getting from a B to a G quickly on the recorder but I have improved.

In Year 4, our music programme develops our understanding of notation, explores working
collaboratively and features some famous film music.

My favourite thing is singing because it makes me happy.
"
"
I really enjoyed teaching other people my line of the folk tune. We had to work as a team.
"
"
Year 5 pupils take on more responsibility for their own learning and create their own versions of songs from the musicals.

It’s nice because we get to work together. We can share more ideas because we feel more confident. It’s more fun because we feel more in charge of what we’re doing.
